Are you a fan of street art? Do you like Seth 's work? Then you should know that the City of Paris has invited Parisians to vote for the future mural to be created by the famous urban artist in the Belleville district.
Conceived as part of the " Art and culture in the streets of the 11th arrondissement " project, voted for in the Participatory Budget, this large-scale fresco will soon cover the gable wall of 51 boulevard de Belleville, in eastern Paris. A district regularly taken over by numerous street artists. Rue Dénoyez, Belleville's street art mecca, springs to mind.
Expected in spring 2025, this new mural in the Belleville district will pay tribute to " the diversity of the neighborhood's populations in a colorful aesthetic ". The famous and talented Seth will have the honor of giving birth to this work. The artist, known for his poetic and engaging paintings of faceless children, produced three sketches for the occasion, which were put to the vote of Internet users. So, which sketch won the most votes? Which one was chosen and will see the light of day at N°51 boulevard de Belleville next spring?
On December 24, the Town Hall of the 11th arrondissement revealed the results. Drum roll... The sketch that received the most votes was the runner-up. This fresco depicts children " from different backgrounds and cultures " coming together to build a living tower.
And don't forget that the Itinerrance gallery in Paris is unveiling a new solo exhibition by Seth. Entitled"Escape Games", this installation can be viewed free of charge until February 28, 2025.
