TheInstitut Curie celebrates the 21st edition of its Une Jonquille contre le cancer operationfrom March 11 to 23, 2025. The aim of this annual event is to mobilize the French public in the cause of cancer. This flower, used by Institut Curie to help fund research, has become the symbol of the fight against this terrible disease. Every euro raised during this fund-raising campaign helps to give cancer sufferers a better chance of going into remission.
Every year, a number of events are organized throughout the month of March to raise public awareness of this cause. In Paris, the center of operations is located at the Panthéon: from March 11 to 23, a Daffodil Village awaits us, featuring a solidarity store and various events open to all.
Visitors to the solidarity village will be able to collect donations, buy jars of daffodils and related items, and take part in solidarity events.
For this 2025 edition, the Institut Curie wishes to pay tribute to and highlight those who are fighting rare cancers, whether they be patients, researchers, doctors or caregivers. These cancers account for 2 to 3% of new cases each year, come in a variety of forms, and can affect people of any age.
To help fight these cancers, several actions are possible. In particular, athletes can take part in the " Daffodil Run Against Cancer ", a connected challenge that turns energy into donations, with 1 euro donated to the Institut Curie for every kilometer run. Register online or at the " Village Jonquille " on the Place du Panthéon in Paris from March 11 to 23 to take part.
