Are you good at spelling, or would you like to put yourself to the test, to do like the athletes during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games? Then meet us in the field, on April 12, 2024, for the Grande Dictée des Jeux, which will take place during the Paris Book Festival, at the Grand Palais Éphémère! With 100 days to go until the opening ceremony, this unique event offers you the chance to get your brains working in front of the Eiffel Tower, for even more inspiration!
Three dictations will be held in the afternoon, all free of charge- although you'll need to book before April 10 to take part! The aim? To bring together an intergenerational community of 2,550 people to celebrate the French language in a convivial setting, accompanied by renowned contemporary authors, athletes selected for the Olympic Games and Rachid Santaki, the master of ceremonies and creator of the La Dictée Géante label.
The dictations will consist of three original texts based on the Olympic motto: Citius, Altius et Fortius (faster, higher, stronger). You'll have just over an hour to try and get it right without panicking! Of course, each of you will leave with your own original medal, minted for the occasion, to keep as it will serve as your pass and free entry to the festival!
