From 10am this Wednesday, July 24, 2024, the festivities will kick off with a series ofsporting and culturalevents. Visitors will be able to watch capoeira demonstrations on the museum forecourt, offered by the Dynamic Sèvres association. In addition, the Acta Fabula company will be offering theatrical strolls on the theme of sport, adding an artistic touch to this sporting morning.
The most eagerly awaited moment of the day will be at 11:05, when the Olympic flame will ignite on the forecourt of the Musée National de Céramique de Sèvres. This symbolic moment will mark the passage of the flame through Sèvres, bringing residents and visitors together to celebrate the Olympic spirit.
After the morning festivities, the Musée national de Céramique de Sèvres will reopen its doors to the public at 2pm. Visitors will be able to discover or rediscover the riches of this emblematic site, while extending the Olympic experience in an exceptional cultural setting.
The event is free and open to all, but access is subject to availability. Please note that access via the Pont de Sèvres will be limited for the occasion. The Musée National de Céramique de Sèvres is located at 2 Place de la Manufacture - 92310 Sèvres.
