Olympic Games Paris 2024, Olympic Torch Relay in Vincennes on July 21st, entertainment on the programme

The Olympic Flame has arrived in Île-de-France! After kicking off in Paris on Bastille Day, the festivities continue in all four corners of the Île-de-France region as it prepares to host the Summer Olympic Games. Everywhere in its path, the torchbearers' wake is marked by celebrations and entertainment. A festive warm-up, in short, before the official launch of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games scheduled for July 26, with an opening ceremony that could well mark the history of this iconic international competition .

The Olympic Flame crosses the Val-de-Marne département this Sunday, July 21, 2024, and on its way is the beautiful town of Vincennes, located at the gateway to Paris and accessible via line 1 of the Paris metro. Famous for its castle, this town on the edge of the Bois de Vincennes is one of the stops on the Olympic Torch Relay route this morning.

According to a press release from the town of Vincennes, the Olympic flamewill pass through the town as follows:

"The Olympic flame's route will begin with a majestic entrance to the Château de Vincennes at 11:20 am. As it leaves the monument, via the Tour du Village (avenue de Paris), it will be greeted by a guard of honor from the Republican Guard, followed by Vincennes associations."

The city of Vincennes also indicates that several events will take place along the flame's route through the city between 10:30 a.m. and noon:

- Carrefour rue du Midi / av. du Château: concert with Un million de musiques
- Esplanade de l'hôtel de ville: concert with Accords, nacre et soufflet - Carrefour Libération /Commandant-Mowat / A.-Defrance: concert with AMAC, the Conservatoire's adult music association
- Place Jean-Spire-Lemaître: flame workshop and various activities with the Paris Fire Brigade

Afterwards, the event moves to the forecourt of the Town Hall, where a giant aperitif in the guinguettespirit awaitslocal residents and visitors "in the presence of elected officials from Vincennes' twin towns". DJ Starks will be at the turntables to set the mood, while local merchants will be on hand to treat us. The cast includes the town's emblematic addresses: Food y Vino, Au Paradis Gourmand, Aux Papilles, Fromagerie Platini, Maison Levain, Noémie Giorno, Julien Dechenaud, Les Fromages de nos régions, boulangerie-pâtisserie Fred.
