Only a few days to go until the much-anticipated opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. In the meantime, the Olympic flame continues its journey and tour of the Île-de-France region. After Paris on July 14 and 15, Val-d'Oise on July 19, Seine-et-Marne on July 20, Val-de-Marne on July 21 and Essonne on July 22, it's off to Yvelines on July 23!
This Tuesday, the Olympic flame arrives west of the capital, in the Yvelines department , with a beautiful route in store. The flame will start its journey in Rambouillet, before reaching Clairefontaine, Les Mureaux, Mantes-la-Ville, Poissy, Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse and Saint-Germain-en-Laye. The flame will end its journey in the mythical town of Versailles!

For this new stage, a number of relayers, both known and unknown, have been chosen. So, who are they? Who are the bearers expected this Tuesday, July 23, 2024 during this relay in Yvelines?
The official website of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games has revealed the names of these famous torchbearers. This Tuesday, those who plan to make the trip to see the flame will also be able to meet the former footballer and current coach of the French soccer team, Didier Deschamps. Blaise Matuidi, another former footballer and winner of the 2018 World Cup, has also been announced, as have tennis player Caroline Garcia, singer Patrick Bruel and actress Salma Hayek Pinault.
The Yvelines département will be hosting a number of events at the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. Equestrian and para-equestrian sports, as well as the modern pentathlon, will be held at the Royal Star of the Château de Versailles. The golf competition will take place at the Golf national de Guyancourt, while the Vélodrome national de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines will host the track cycling and para-cycling events. And let's not forget BMX racing at the BMX stadium in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and mountain biking on the hill in Élancourt.
