Perhaps you were in Paris on July 14 and 15 for the Olympic Torch Relay? If so, you may have spotted a number of famous torchbearers, including Thierry Henry, Yannick Noah, Jamel Debbouze, Nina Métayer, Romane Dicko and Nikola Karabatić.
Since then, the Olympic flame has continued its journey. After new stops in Val-d'Oise, Seine-et-Marne and Val-de-Marne, the flame arrives in Essonne on Monday July 22, 2024. It will continue its journey this week to Yvelines, Hauts-de-Seine and Seine-Saint-Denis before returning to the capital for the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games.
The Olympic flame is expected to arrive in the 91 region on July 22. In this département of the Paris region, it will pass through 11 communes between Étampes and Évry-Courcouronnes. On the program? Stops in Chamarande, Palaiseau, Marcoussis, Montgeron and Dourdan.

The official website of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games has revealed the names of these famous torchbearers. This Monday, those who plan to travel to Essonne to see the flame will also be able to meet Ladji Doucouré, the famous French athlete who was world champion in the 110 m hurdles in 2005!
Also announced are TV host and presenter Ophélie Meunier, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, and Youtubeur and freestyle basketball world champion Brice Coyere, aka Brisco.
