After theBercy Arena, the Champ-de-Mars Arena near the Eiffel Tower, the Paris Nord Arena in Villepinte and the Paris Sud Arena at the Porte de Versailles exhibition center - all of which were monopolized by the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to host a variety of sporting events - the latest addition is the new Arena in the Porte de la Chapelle district, on the edge of the 18th arrondissement and the Paris ring road.
All year round, the Arena offers sports classes and activities for all local residents, and has recently become the home of Paris Basketball, the city's national basketball club. In total, there is a capacity of 8,000 seats here, intended first and foremost to accommodate spectators who came for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games events. After the Games, the venue is set to host concerts, shows and other sporting events.
