Right now, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games are synonymous with a jackpot for France! From the outset, Paris has set the tone: a dazzling opening ceremony, events at the most beautiful sites in the capital and the Île-de-France region, and even a futuristic Olympic cauldron in the shape of a hot-air balloon! And to top it all off, the French athletes are in the starting-blocks to score as many victories as possible.

There are already 53 medals on the counter: 14 gold, 18 silver and 21 bronze. And there's more to come! A new medal has just been added to our collection on August 8, 2024. At Stade Roland-Garros, the men's -51kg boxing final pitted France's Billal Bennama against Uzbekistan's Hasanboy Dusmatov.

In the end, the French boxer won a silver medal, taking 2nd place on the podium. This is the 26-year-old's first Olympic award. It's the third medal for France in boxing this year, and the first in this discipline in the country's history at the Olympic Games.
