This year, for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the French 3x3 Basketball team is taking center stage, even going so far as to win silver in a match where nothing was a foregone conclusion!

France continues to write its own legend at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with an impressive string of medals. This Olympiad got off to a grand start with an extraordinary Opening Ceremony, Olympic venues also with undeniable charm, and an innovative Olympic cauldron that draws crowds in droves.

French athletes, more determined than ever to shine on the international stage, continue to light up the podiums. To date, France, as host nation, has accumulated 45 medals: 12 gold, 15 silver and 18 bronze. But on August 5, 2024, a new victory has been added to this record.

Against all odds, theFrench 3x3 basketballteam, comprising Jules Rambaut, Timothé Vergiat, Lucas Dussoulier and Franck Seguela, reached the final! Following a neck-and-neck final match with the Netherlands, the team had to bow out, by just 1 point, , and went on to win the silver medal. In spite of everything, these four athletes showed unfailing determination on the La Concorde Olympic site. Nothing seemed to be able to stop them, and this award, which no one expected, is in the end a true demonstration of their mastery of the game.

This silver medal has been added to the French team's record of achievement in 3x3 basketball since the discipline was introduced at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, where the French women's team won the same award after losing to the USA in the final.
