As a reminder, taekwondo at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games followed the World Taekwondo Federation's standard rules, with bouts taking place in an 8x8-meter square ring, consisting of three two-minute rounds, with a one-minute break between rounds. Points are awarded for kicks and punches to the opponent's chest or head: 2 points for a kick to the chest, 3 for a spin kick, and up to 5 points for a kick to the head. The winner is the one with the most points at the end of the match, or whoever wins by KO. In this final, Frenchwoman Althéa Laurin won 2 rounds to 0, and scored a moment of anthology for France, winning the gold medal.
