Drag Race France season 2: Drag queen casting revealed!

Last year, the show Drag Race (finally!) made its appearance on French TV screens, after numerous international versions. What's more, the French adaptation of the famous American drag queen program was so successful that France Télévisions announced a Season 2 as soon as the first season ended.

A real craze felt during the few weeks the show was broadcast, with a peak during the final of the competition, broadcast in the Marais district last August. The winner of this first Drag Race France, Paloma, was acclaimed by her thousands of fans who gathered at Café Beaubourg.

As a reminder, this highly acclaimed competition brings together a dozen drag queens who compete in a variety of humorous challenges over eight episodes. The protagonists also confide in each other about their personal lives, evoking current issues and advocatingself-acceptance.

Drag Race France is set to make its comeback this summer, for a season 2 that we imagine will be just as creative and explosive as the first. And good news: the names of the 11 participating drag queens have just been revealed! They include Cookie Kunty, Ginger Bitch, Kitty Space, Keiona, Lily Moon, Mami Watta, Piche, Punani, Rose, Sara Forever and Vespi. And Nicky Doll is still presenting, as are Daphné Bürki and Kiddy Smile as jurors!

Season 2 features a number of changes. This year, episodes will go online every week at 6pm, before being broadcast on France 2 in the second half of the evening. Also, for the first time, the finale will be held in public, as is customary in the American version of the show. It will be held at the Grand Rex - the date is as yet unknown.

Finally, as in the previous season, the 11 queens will take part in a real show at the Casino de Paris from September 7 to 16, and then throughout France.
