The Drag Lab: the drag show that combines glamour and science at the Nouveau Casino in Paris

Inside the Nouveau Casino, The Drag Lab will spotlight five remarkable personalities from the world of drag who are also passionate about science. These Drag Queens and Drag Kings, some of whom are doctors, engineers, mathematicians or physicists, will unveil the intoxicating symbiosis between their artistic identities and their passion for science. The eclectic, wacky performances will break down the conventional boundaries between the art of Drag and the popularization of science. Each of these personalities will, through a dazzling creative prism, demonstrate that there are as many ways of approaching science as there are vibrant personalities within the cultural sphere.

The show, conceived by Maximilien Marçais Husson, will take the audience on a dreamlike journey around the four elements, under the benevolent and extravagant gaze of legendary hostess Calypso Overkill, a fervent believer in science. Audiences will be enchanted by a daring mix of playback, dance, song, stand-up and explosive science experiments. The artists will also engage in a series of breathtaking lip sync battles to an eclectic playlist ranging from Wagner to Britney Spears.

After the show, the atmosphere will remain electric with a DJ set hosted by a representative of the LGBTQI+ community. For the more curious, the experience continues online, with behind-the-scenes footage of the event to be shared later on String Theory's YouTube channel, extending the magic of this evening that advocates the harmonious union between the world of drag and fascination with science.
