Sonic, the world's most famous blue hedgehog, will once again be the hero of a TV series. Scheduled for release on Netflix on January 11, 2024, season 3 of Sonic Prime is an animated series closer to the world of video games. This is the sixth time this universe has been the subject of a series. Two films have also been released, and a third is in preparation, but unlike the films, the first Sonic Prime season proved that the plot is closer to that of the games. In fact, the setting of Green Hill Zone and many other cult locations can be recognized.
Sonic is one of the most cult licenses in video game history, and numerous films, series and comic strips have been adapted from this universe. When you consider the success of the two films starring James Marsden, released in 2020 and 2022, it's easy to imagine that the show could be renewed for a season 4.
