In this sci-fi drama, Adam Sandler stars as Jakub, an astronaut on a solitary research mission to the farthest reaches of the solar system. Six months after his departure, he is confronted with the painful reality that his wife, Lenka (played by Carey Mulligan), may not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Deep in space, isolated and distraught, Jakub finds an unexpected ally: a mysterious ancient creature, Hanus, voiced by Paul Dano, who is hiding in his spaceship.
Directed by Johan Renck, Spaceman is based on the gripping novel An Astronaut in Bohemia, and promises a unique cinematic experience blending drama and sci-fi adventure. The cast includes Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin and Isabella Rossellini.
The film explores themes of loneliness, love and the quest for redemption in the vastness of the universe. Jakub, aided by Hanus, embarks on an introspective journey to understand the events that led to his isolation in space, and to try to repair the broken ties with his wife."Spaceman" promises to be a fascinating metaphor for the human condition, where infinite space should serve as the backdrop for an intimate exploration of emotions and relationships.
Get ready to embark on a moving space odyssey that promises to touch viewers' hearts and offer deep reflection on the nature of love and loneliness."Spaceman" arrives on Netflix on March 1, 2024, and should delight fans of Adam Sandler, Carey Mulligan, and sci-fi cinema.
