Since March 8, 2024, Netflix has been offering The Damsel and the Dragon (Damsel ), aHeroic Fantasy film that inverts the codes of fairy tales, with Millie Bobby Brown playing a princess who clearly doesn't need Prince Charming to save her. It's a pleasant film to watch, but it's not very far-reaching, responding to specifications that are far too narrow to make anything surprising out of it.
As for the story, it's expected, a little too easy, even convoluted, but it gets the job done, as there's never a dull moment. As for the acting, it's much the same: the whole cast meets a set of specifications without really imposing themselves, but the whole thing remains a pleasure to watch.
