DreamWorks and Universal Studios have revealed a trailer full of wonder, beauty and energy. Discover The Wild Robot, an animated film adapted from Peter Brown's novel by Chris Sanders(Dragons).
Le robot sauvage will be broadcast on Canal+ on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 9:10pm.
Synopsis: The Wild Robot follows the incredible saga of a robot - the ROZZUM 7134 unit aka "Roz" - who, after being shipwrecked on a desert island, must learn to adapt to a hostile environment by gradually forming relationships with the island's animals. He ends up adopting a goose's young, a gosling, who is orphaned.
The cast includes some of Hollywood's biggest names: Lupita Nyong'o gives her voice to Roz the robot, Pedro Pascal plays Fink the fox, Catherine O'Hara is Pinktail the possum, Bill Nighy is Longneck the goose, Kit Connor plays Brightbill the little gosling.... The voices of Stephanie Hsu, Mark Hamill, Matt Berry and Ving Rhames can also be heard. A five-star cast that leaves us with high hopes for this film.
The trailer gives very little information about the film. A robot lost in a seemingly depopulated world, who discovers nature: one quickly thinks of Walt Disney's Wall-E. However, behind this Robinson Crusoe-style tale probably lies a deeper, harder story.
The final images of the trailer reveal traces of human life, which could be at the root of the disasters striking this natural paradise. An inspiring environmental fable for young and old alike.
These beautiful images hint at a carefully crafted and interesting story: we can't wait to discover more about The Wild Robot!
