Maison Margiela unveils Nighthawk, an ultra-sharp docu about the creation of its Haute Couture 2024 collection. Inspired by 80s horror films, a crazy cast and John Galliano's crazy vision: it's arty, daring and intriguing. Discover it for free on Youtube!

Gone are the classic runway shows! For Paris Fashion Week, Maison Margiela stepped away from the catwalk to unveil Nighthawk, a never-before-seen fashion documentary dedicated to the making-of of its 2024 haute couture collection, which rocked the fashion world last January. And good news: the film is now available free of charge on Youtube!

Rather than opt for a traditional show, the label's artistic director John Galliano and director Sasha Kasiuhache invite us to go behind the scenes of the Maison Margiela Artisanal Collection. Right from the poster, the tone is set: a horror atmosphere inspired by 80s films. With guest stars including Kim Kardashian, Monica Bellucci, Gwendoline Christie and even the legendary Auntie Lucky Love, Nighthawk plays with the codes of horror to sublimate haute couture.

This intimate documentary takes us inside Margiela's workshop, where Galliano and his small hands bring unique pieces to life. From the astonishing collection inspired by porcelain dolls to fittings on Leon Dame, the designer's fetish muse, everything is dissected down to the smallest technical detail. Make-up artist Pat McGrath also reveals the signature beauty secrets behind these explosive looks, which we'd almost copy for Halloween.

Once again, Maison Margiela continues to play the outsider. Going against the grain of traditional fashion week, Nighthawk confirms that Maison Margiela does not play in the same category as the others, but wishes to embrace a more conceptual, mysterious and... fascinating.

Captivating and disconcerting, fans of Maison Margiela par Galliano are in for a treat!
