Coco 2: Disney-Pixar makes sequel to Oscar-winning film official

Disney Studios and Pixar have announced the development of Coco 2, scheduled for 2029. Directed by Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina, the film promises to plunge viewers back into the vibrant world of Land of the Dead.

After the success of Coco, released in 2017, Pixar and Disney have finally confirmed the arrival of a sequel. At Disney's annual shareholders' meeting, Bob Iger announced that Coco 2 was in development, with a planned release in 2029. Lee Unkrich, Oscar-winning director of the first film, and Adrian Molina, co-director and screenwriter, will once again be at the helm.
