Arizona Sunshine, the immersive VR game from Virtual Time

Welcome to the Grand Canyon, Arizona. In search of the other survivors of the apocalypse, you must travel through a small U.S. mining town filled with the undead, who want only one thing: to add you to their daily meal. Only your marksmanship and your fellow travelers will help you reach your goal.

The game transports us totally into its universe, and we really get stressed out by the zombies charging at us. Despite our (immense) gaming skills, we found ourselves praying several times for our weapon to reload faster, while staring in horror at these decrepit creatures running at us from all sides. In our defense, there were only two of us, and the game is recommended for four people.

There are a few joystick controls to remember in order to move through the game (shooting, reloading, moving around, grabbing objects), but the instructions are quickly learned, especially as they all have to be used constantly. The universe is quite large, with deserted bars and old mines surrounded by an immense desert. The little puzzles that keep us moving forward are no great obstacle, the most serious threat being the zombies.

If you've completed the Arizona Sunshine adventure and would like to dive back into this world, Virtual Time offers a prequel extension to the game: with Dead Man, discover how the zombie apocalypse began! For those who want to go over to the dark side of the force, Virtual Room offers an immersive game in which zombies take on humans.

For those who prefer arcade-style games, Virtual Room also offers the option of dividing a one-hour session into two or three parts, to try out different games. We tried Elven Assassin, which transports us to a medieval landscape. As a group, you must defend a village or castle from invading Orcs. Battle enemies with arrows in a fun and surprisingly challenging session!
