When video games bring people together... After a one-year hiatus, ZEvent, the videogame charity event, returns from September 6 to 8, 2024! For three days, more than 50 streamers will be waiting for you online on Twitch to raise funds for several charities. And it's sure to be a huge success, with last year's event raising almost 10 million euros for the ecological cause!
This year, according to 20Minutes, not just one association will benefit from the donations, but five: Secours Populaire, Cop 1 Solidarités étudiantes, Chapitre 2, Bureau des cœurs and Solidarité Paysans, which will share the proceeds.
And as for the streamers, the principle is still the same: to encourage donations, some of them have been given missions with a donation target to reach. If this target is reached, streamers are given a fun challenge (to play sports, dress up), for a moment of fun with online gamers to be followed live on Twitch.
In 2020, the ZEvent raised 5,724,204 euros forAmnesty International, a worldwide human rights organization. In 2019, nearly 3.5 million euros went to theInstitut Pasteur, an amount that increases year on year. Ready for this new edition?
