In the world of video games, where titles follow one another at a frenetic pace, few manage to make such a spectacular impression as Helldivers 2... Launched on February 8, the game developed by Arrowhead Studio and published by Sony has not only captured the attention of gamers, it has also broken records, rapidly establishing itself as an essential reference. Clearly inspired by the Starship Troopers universe, Helldivers 2 propels players into the heart of a fierce struggle to save Super-Earth, plunging them into missions where collaboration and strategy are the keys to victory.
And so, in just a few days, the title has gathered an impressive community, with over 200,000 players joining the ranks on Steam in the first week after launch. This momentum accelerated, reaching nearly 260,000 players in search of thrills and adventure. However, this influx put a strain on the game's infrastructure, leading to connection problems that neither Sony nor Arrowhead had anticipated. Efforts to increase server capacity and provide a smooth experience for all were unfortunately not enough last weekend, as the studio was unable to resolve the connection problem for many players.
Despite our best efforts to increase server capacity to accommodate all of you who want to dive for Freedom, we are experiencing capacity issues. We are once more working without delay to improve the issue and we hope to have a fix in place as soon as possible. Thank you
