Would you like some moreHorizon Zero Dawn? At a State of Play conference held on the night of September 24-25, 2024, PlayStation announced a remaster of Guerilla Games' Horizon Zero Dawn, complete with trailer and release date. Enough to please many gamers...
A remaster that had already leaked... And with good reason: according to our colleagues at Jeuxactu.com, theESRB, the US games classification body, has just certified a certain... Horizon Zero Dawn! The damage is done... All that remains is to find out when the game will be released. PlayStation revealed this at the State of Play conference: as of October 31, 2024, on PC and PS5, to live - or relive - Aloy's adventures!
Our review of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered:
A game we took the time to test, to see the differences between the original and this version. And while the story doesn't change one iota, nor the gameplay, there's a big difference graphically speaking. Graphically speaking, it's more fluid and much more beautiful! Guerrila Games has reworked the characters' features using what was done on Horizon Forbidden West (for Aloy), and it shows! Our only regret is that facial animations are a little stiff.
As for the cinematics, they're really beautiful and a pleasure to watch. Textures, too, have been reworked, as have lighting and colors, to create a beautiful blend. The haptic feedback of the Dualsense controller has also been enhanced, with the game integrating this specific controller feature for a slightly more immersive experience.
It's a lovely remaster, just the way we like it, ideal for those who haven't played the franchise's first installment, or for those who want to put the PS5 Pro's capabilities to the test, which the remaster has clearly been designed for. And if you're curious too, it doesn't hurt... All you have to do is get your hands on the software!
Note that if you already have the PS4 version, you can upgrade your version to the PS5, for around 10 euros ($9.99). Enough to immerse yourself in theHorizon universe while awaiting a potential third installment (we're entitled to dream, aren't we?), unless you prefer its LEGO version, LEGO Horizon Adventure, due for release shortly. So grab your joysticks!
