For the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024, GR® 75 marks out an Olympic hike route within Paris. A hike through Paris covering 50km that goes from one side to the other and can be completed both ways.
So, this itinerary of the 100% Parisian hike was created by FFRandonnée to support Paris Olympics and Paralympics 2024 application but now that Paris officially hosts the future Summer Olympic Games, the trail keeps on delighting hiking enthusiasts. At the same time, the path wakes up the nature sleeping in Paris and we discover no fewer than 75 green spaces through 9 arrondissements.
As any hiking route, there’s no obligation, only recommendations. If you want to stay on the path, your itinerary starts in front of the Géode, the sphere monument set at the parc de la Villette. Then, you can walk around Paris clockwise or the other way around! It doesn’t matter, the essential being to complete the route. And the organizers have created this hike so that it can be easily joined in public transportation.
So, to pay tribute to the Olympics 1900 and 1924, the route particularly sticks to the vestiges of the sporting areas used back then. Without forgetting the future premises used for the Olympics 2024. A nice mix of history and sport that will trigger your curiosity. So, what are you waiting for to put your hiking shoes on?
