It’s summer in Paris! For the summer season, we and Helloways regularly propose you a selection of hikes easily accessible by transports from Paris.
If you live in Ile de France or staying in Paris but craving a change of scenery to be out and about, we’ve selected a few hikes a bit further from Paris, perfect for a long weekend. Careful though, these routes are for real urban adventures tired of the tarmac and in need of some nature!
Accessible via TER or TGV train departing from Paris-Gare-du-Nord, stop at Boulogne-sur-Mer station. Journey duration: between 2 and 3 hours.
Who has never dreamed of jumping on a train and set sail? In a few words, this is what proposes this hike to complete in 2 to 3 days. Take the Paris – Boulogne train and fill up your lungs on the Opal Coast. Wild paths, crazy dunes, old blockhouse, castles, steep cliffs. A mouthwatering program to … unwind!
Accessible via Transilien train line R, stop at Bois-le-Roi station. Journey duration : 40 minutes.
With this hike, we stay near Paris. Departing from Bois-le-Roi (30 minutes by Transilien from Gare de Lyon), this route will take you to the most beautiful corners of the forest. Gorges d’Apremont, Rocher Cassepot or Canon, Cuvier and even Tour Denecourt, it covers everything! You can even bicouac and sleep in a tent or in a guest house, it’s up to your liking and the degree of adventure you’re looking for!
Accessible via TER or TGV train departing from Paris-Bercy railway station, stop at Gare d’Avallon station. Journey duration: 2h40
Morvan is this little green spot on the lower right of Ile-de-France: 500,000 hectares of natures and 6 big lakes. For a green weekend free from everything but squirrels and cows, it clearly is the perfect choice. Allow 3 to 4 days to cover the loop. It will be worth it, I promise.
