What could be better than a day spent relaxing by the water near Paris? After a weekend necessarily festive with the Fête de la Musique, we all dream of a day placed under the sign of relaxation, sitting on the banks of a lake, a pond or a peaceful river.
In any case, don't worry, we have everything planned for you! Here is just for you a selection of the best hiking itineraries, all close to water and easily accessible from Paris by public transport. Enough to recharge your batteries.
Parc de Sceaux and Coulée verte
Accessible by the RER B station "Parc de Sceaux" or "Croix de Berny". Travel time : 1h15
Like any self-respecting partygoer, you are tired on Saturday morning. Don't panic, get some rest, find your Navigo pass in your bag and go to the famous park designed by André Le Nôtre: it is of course the wonderful Parc de Sceaux. French-style gardens, a majestic castle, endless lawns and, above all, large ponds in which one would like to dive. To stroll a little, it is the top.
Accessible by the RER C stop "Meudon Val Fleury". Travel time : 35 mn
Meudon, it's the city, the cultural wealth, a superb forest, but it's also 3 super cool ponds. To realize it, you just have to make this forest walk which will lead you through the ponds to the forest house of Bel-Air, the hangar Y or the Observatory of Meudon. For a more complete walk, we invite you to visit the Museum of Art and History of Meudon and the Paumier park, to come back even more educated from this day!
The Impressionist trail from Carrière-sur-Seine to Louveciennes
Accessible by the RER A station "Gare de Houilles". Travelling time : 30 mn
In a very preserved nature and yet so close to Paris, you will discover the bucolic landscapes made famous thanks to the artists who were inspired by these so peaceful sceneries. A quiet stroll along the Seine to be lulled by the lapping of the water and, who knows, maybe your artistic soul will awaken in front of so much beauty.
Crossing the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse
Accessible by Transilien Line N stop "Gare du Perray". Travel time : 45mn from Gare de Lyon
All your nature needs will be fulfilled during this hike in Haute Vallée de Chevreuse. It is better to be still fresh from the day before, because 28 km (even if it is really worth it) cannot be improvised! Embark on a day of calm between ponds, waterfalls, castles and rivers, at only 45 mn from Paris.
Crossing the Rambouillet forest
Accessible by Transilien Line N stop "Gare du Perray". Travel time : 1h15
We finish by the forest of Rambouillet for a whole weekend of immersion in nature. Going from one station to another, you only need a navigo pass to get there. Little bonus, we have a perfect spot for a good big break at the water's edge: the superb ponds of Holland. With this hike, you are sure to spend a unique weekend!
