Lumière & Vision, the Prévention Routière association's unusual night-time race on October 21!

Looking for an unusual race in Paris, and want to support a worthy cause at the same time? The Prévention Routière association is organizing its 3rd edition of "Lumière & Vision, la course" on Saturday, October 19, 2024 on the Place de la Bastille in Paris. Awareness-raising stands will be present in the Place de la Bastille village, and along the 2 free-paced educational courses of 4 km and 8 km. Unheard of: there's also a 10 km timed running course that passes through the Tuileries Gardens, the first time the Tuileries Gardens have hosted a race in Paris! Get your tickets now!

The aim of Prévention Routière is to reduce the number and severity of road accidents, whatever the mode of transport or route used.

The theme of this 3rd edition of its solidarity race is: "Go from darkness to light... to see well and be seen!"

This night-time race is intergenerational: children, adults and senior citizens are all welcome to share this convivial moment.

As the winter time change approaches, the aim of this event is to raise awareness among all road users of the importance of seeing well and being visible when travelling at night.
And as we're all concerned, this solidarity race is open to bikes, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, gyroroues, etc., as well as the public.

A luminous safety kit is offered to all participants to ensure they are equipped for the race.

Running at night in Paris, with your children, or in a team with friends who are on bikes or scooters, is possible during the solidarity race on Saturday, October 19, 2024, starting from the village on Place de la Bastille!

There are 3 routes to choose from:

2 self-paced routes to choose from along the banks of the Seine: 4 km or 8 km, starting on foot, running, bike, scooter, rollerblades, skateboard, gyroroue, etc. The race is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

1 10 km timed run only. For the first time, a foot race in Paris will pass through the Tuileries Gardens in Paris!

Participate on your own or in a team (6 people maximum), earn as many Light points as you can at the awareness-raising stands in the village and along the educational trails, and try to win one of our many prizes!

Registration fees are donated 100% to thePrévention Routière association to support its social mission.

There is no registration fee for minors.
