The most beautiful ice rinks in Paris and the Île-de-France region

For skating on (real) ice, Paris and the Île-de-France region boast a number of excellent rinks, where you can spend hours with family, friends, lovers or solo, enjoying this winter sport.

Figure skating , ice hockey, speed skating or ice dancing: the disciplines practiced on ice are few and far between, but they always arouse wonder and admiration at major international sporting competitions.

For younger children, we recommend skates, seals or other walkers, so that they can feel (at least) comfortable on the ice. Older skaters - whether beginners or experts - can put on their classic ice skates, to try out their best moves on the ice, attempt jumps or, more simply, learn how to brake (those who have already skated know how important this is).

All you need is a pair of thick socks, gloves (obligatory) and a hat, and off you go for hours of skating as best you can on the ice of the capital 's or the region's biggest skating rinks! In fact, Paris has just two: theAccor Arena and the Pailleron rink in the 19th arrondissement, while the suburbs boast a number of huge ice rinks, which are regularly used for ice hockey matches. In any case, ice skating - though unnatural at first - turns out to be a highly entertaining sport, where falls and laughter abound and a good time is always had by all, whether you're with family, lovers or friends!
