Near the church of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette nestles a mysterious little store. Cindy Dubois, a former tour guide and sophrologist, welcomes us like a true enthusiast to this cabinet of curiosities, where magic, the paranormal and the esoteric meet. There's also another version of this den in Angers, run by paranormal specialist Sandy Lakdar.
Numerous esoteric and spiritual items are on sale, in a warm atmosphere charged with the scent of candles and incense. Whether you're simply curious or an enlightened soul, there's something for everyone, from the dozen or so tarot cards on display to the simple decorative objects inspired by thewitchy universe, including a few mugs, a broom stand and a cooking pot. Numerous books are available to help you learn more about witchcraft and well-being, as spirituality is first and foremost a way of getting to know yourself better.
A small space in development presents crystals, in the form of rough stones or jewels, for training in lithotherapy. Another features pendulums and Nordic runes, chosen by intuition. "It's the wand that chooses the wizard", said Mr. Ollivander to Harry Potter. Well, it's more or less the same here!
A number of services are offered in the boutique, including tarology consultations, astral chart readings, relaxation or sophrology sessions. For the month of January, Cindy has devised a series of workshops for young and old alike, introducing them to the mysteries of witches.
On January 13, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, there's an initiation to tarot, to learn how to draw cards and answer life's big questions. To get 2022 off to a good start, the sophrologist is preparing a workshop on January 20, at the same time, to help you relax and get off to a good start. There will also be a workshop for children on January 29, from 10 to 11 a.m., to learn how to make their own witch's altar!
