Paris is a Celebration… Hemingway’s memoirs have never been so much in the news since – except if there is any problem – the French capital should host the summer Olympic Games 2024. The International Olympic Committee should make it official on September 13, 2017 and announce the cities that will host the Olympics in 2024 and 2028. And the party is only starting on September 13 since several events are planned in Paris to celebrate the Olympics.
First, on the 13th, an installation depicting the Olympic Rings will be presented at the Trocadéro and by Deputy Mayor of Paris Bruno Julliard, a festive event “determined by an affirmative vote of the IOC on September 13”. Two giant screens will be set up so that passersby can follow the announce live and in presence of associations, athletes and representatives of the Olympic Bid Committee.
On September 15, a concert is organized in front of the City Hall. On the other hand, the program is not yet known. Other activities and festivities are thought to be scheduled even though nothing is yet announced since the city is still waiting for the IOC to give the green light. But there’s no doubt about the activities and events planned after the official announcement of the Olympic Committee. As a memo, it’ll be the third time Paris hosts the Olympics (1900, 1924 and 2024) just like Los Angeles (1932, 1984 and 2028) and London (1908, 1948 and 2012).
