Two years after singing love with the album “Love”, Get Well Soon are back with their new opus “The Horror” out on June 8, 2018. The band promises a dramatic change of atmosphere for this new album, Konstantin Gropper being very affected by the breakthrough of the extremes in Europe, especially in his homeland, Germany. And to make us dive into this anxiety-tinted atmosphere, the band has announced a concert on October 23, 2018 in Paris, at Le Trianon.
In addition to the rise of populisms, singer-writer-composer Konstantin Gropper “also has included, in the heart of The Horror, three very private nightmares that don’t forget this feeling of anxiety fixed in the collective History since in Nightmare N°2, it’s directly about Göring and Mussolini. Zeitgeist is heavy with threats and The Horror is made of what our nightmares are made of”, their producer Radical says.
But don’t think the album will be a killjoy. Get Well Soon promise us lightness and hope for this album filled with references to crooners’ universe, think Franck Sinatra and Scott Walker.
