It's a ranking sometimes closely scrutinized by artists and record companies alike. The music platform Riffx unveils its barometer of the 150 favorite artists of the French in 2024. Unsurprisingly, the very discreet Jean-Jacques Goldman tops the podium for the 6th time! In second place is Florent Pagny. In the Île-de-France region, the "Savoir Aimer" singer wins the ranking ahead of Jean-Jacques Goldman. Last but not least, the ever-popular Céline Dion comes third in this ranking of the 150 favorite artists of the French in 2024.
Next in line are Indochine (4th), Francis Cabrel (5th), Mylène Farmer (6th), Belgium's Stromae (7th), Pascal Obispo (8th), Michel Sardou (9th) and Soprano (10th).
Unfortunately, once again, parity is not respected, as only 9 women rank in this Top 50 of France's favorite artists, 26 in the Top 100 and 43 in the Top 150. However, the revelations of the year Santa and Zaho de Sagazan are the artists with the biggest rises in this ranking. They move up from 290th and 276th place to 110th and 106th respectively.
Tastes also diverge according to age, as most of the artists in the Top 20 for 18-24 year-olds are influenced by Rap or R'n'B, such as Gims, Ninho, SCH, Bigflo & Oli, Aya Nakamura, Vald, PLK, JUL, Nekfeu... ... On the other hand, some artists from the 80s generation are holding their own in this ranking, such as Émile et Images (49th), Gilbert Montagné (67th) and Jeanne Mas (77th).
