But a question arises: who will open for Rammstein on July 22 at the Stade de France? This year again, the German band is betting on the unexpected by inviting again the piano duo Abelard.
It has become a habit for Rammstein. For a few years now, the German band has invited a duo of French pianists as opening act. In Nîmes in 2017 and in Paris in 2019, Rammstein fans were able to discover the Duo Jatekok. Composed of pianists Adelaide Panaget and Nairi Badal, this duo had surprised everyone by revisiting the piano and brilliantly several flagship titles of Rammstein.
In 2022, Till Lindemann and his colleagues invited the Játékok Duo and the Abélard Duo, composed of Héloïse Hervouët and Katherine Nikitine. The two piano duos shared the different dates of the Rammstein tour. The audience of Lyon had been able to discover the two pianists of Abélard.
It is precisely this duo of pianists that Rammstein has decided to recall to ensure the first part of its 2023 tour of European stadiums. These are the girls themselves who confirmed this info on their social networks.
Note that the line-up will be different. From now on, Abélard is composed ofHéloïse Hervouët and a new recruit, Emilie Aridon-Kociolek. Graduates of the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs de Musique et de Danse of Lyon and Paris, where they were trained at the highest level as classical musicians, they both have eclectic careers in various musical universes such as tango, world music and metal music.
So, are you happy to see Abélard this summer in Paris as the opening act for Rammstein? See you on July 22, 2023 at the Stade de France to discover some of Rammstein 's hits revisited on piano.
