The Fondation Abbé Pierre is launching a new festival this winter in Paris. Entitled La Nuit de la Rue, the event will bring together a host of artists from the rap and urban culture scenes, all mobilized against exclusion and poor housing. La Nuit de la Rue will take over the Bataclan venue in Paris for two days, Friday December 15 and Saturday December 16, 2023.
In terms of programming, the event has unveiled its full line-up. Last June, the La Nuit de la Rue festival announced the first name on the bill, confirming the arrival of rapper Fianso. Real name Sofiane Zermani, the French artist is the author of three albums, the latest of which,"La Direction", was released in 2021. The rapper, who has also been patron of the Abbé Pierre Foundation since 2019, won't be alone, and will be surrounded on stage by several other artists, including Ronisia, Black M and Hatik.
La Nuit de la Rue will feature urban music, of course, but not only... The event also aims to " raise public awareness of the work of the Fondation Abbé Pierre, to rally the public around the cause of poor housing, and to play an active part in the fight by helping to finance its actions ", as stated in a press release.
The La Nuit de la Rue festival also follows on from the Abbé Road concerts organized by the Fondation Abbé Pierre in recent years, which have enabled it to forge a strong link with the world of music, particularly the rap scene.
