Louane will represent France at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in May 2025. Following the revelations in Le Parisien on Thursday January 30, Louane confirmed the news by posting a message on her social networks. "I have something to tell you", she wrote.
The 2025 edition of Eurovision will take place in Basel, Switzerland. While the two semi-finals are scheduled for May 13 and 15, the grand final is scheduled for Saturday May 17.
So, will Louane do better than Slimane who came 4th last year? For the time being, the suspense remains. But Louane could well make the difference. Revealed on The Voice in 2013 and winner of a César for her role in " La Famille Bélier ", Louane now has five studio albums to her name, the latest of which is entitled"Solo". This album is due to take the artist on a tour of France over the next few months.
A few weeks ago, Louane announced the postponement of several of her concerts, including the one scheduled at the Zénith de Paris - La Villette. Initially scheduled for May 23, 2025, the show was finally postponed to December 10, 2025. At the time, some people had already mentioned the singer's possible participation in Eurovision as a reason for the postponement. But Louane firmly denied this information last autumn.
In the end, Louane will represent France at the Eurovision Grand Final in Switzerland on May 17. All that remains now is to find out what song Louane will be performing in the spring of 2025. Just a little more patience before we find out.
France's last best Eurovision ranking dates back to 2021. That year, Barbara Pravi came second with her song " Voilà ". So, will Louane do better and bring victory back to France? Find out on May 17!
