A surprise! Ministère A.M.E.R. have announced a special tour to mark the 30th anniversary (already) of their celebrated second opus,"95200". Grenoble, Marseille and Clermont-Ferrand are among the dates scheduled for this mini-tour of France. The French rap group, a staple of the 90s, also plans to take over the small Paris venue La Cigale for a one-off concert on Friday, October 11, 2024. Tickets go on sale on January 15 at 11am.
Ministère A.M.E.R. (acronym for "Action, Musique Et Rap") was founded by Stomy Bugsy, Passi, Hamed Daye, Kenzy, Moda, DJ Desh, and later by DJ Ghetch. In the early 90s, the group quickly became one of France's rap pioneers, thanks to the release of two landmark albums:"Pourquoi Tant de Haine"(1992), which denounced the police and the state, and"95200" in 1994. A year later, the band struck again, writing the track " Sacrifice de poulet" (Chicken Sacrifice ) for the soundtrack to Mathieu Kassovitz's film"La Haine".
After a reunion concert at the Olympia in 2014, Ministère A.M.E.R., now made up of famous rappers Stomy Bugsy and Passi, and DJ Ghetch, are back on stage to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of their"95200" album. To step back in time and relive some of the legendary tracks produced by the Ministère A.M.E.R. live, head for La Cigale on October 11.
