First show at Paris La Défense Arena for Jay Chou this Saturday, January 13, 2024! It's the perfect opportunity for the Taiwanese artist, the undisputed king of Mandapop, to make his hits resound in this large venue in the Hauts-de-Seine region, and to defend several of his numerous tracks live.

Born in Taipei on January 18, 1979, Jay Chou is a veritable star in his homeland of Taiwan. A practitioner of C-pop, or Chinese pop, and more specifically Mandopop (" Mandarin popular music "), the artist and producer has released several successful opuses since the early 2000s, including"Still Fantasy" in 2006,"The Era" in 2010,"BedTime Stories" in 2016 and, more recently,"Greatest Works Of Art" in 2022.

We can imagine that many Jay Chou fans in Paris and the Ile-de-France will flock to Europe's largest indoor venue on January 13 to attend this unique concert by their favorite artist. For the impatient, Paris La Défense Arena will open its doors to the general public at 6:00 pm. The show will begin at 8:00 pm. The venue specifies that a"waiting zone" will be activated at 11:00 am on site for the most impatient fans.

Another piece of information, and not the least, concerns transport to and from the venue. In view of the large crowds expected, the venue recommends that spectators use public transport to get to and from the Paris La Défense Arena.

You can take metro line 1, RER A, Tramway T2 or Transilien lines L and U.

Please note that Paris La Défense Arena has several different entrances, depending on your place in the hall. Therefore, " the colored access indicated on your ticket (yellow, red or purple) helps you to find your way around, but does not represent a compulsory passage point for screening ", as the Paris La Défense Arena points out, advising you to proceed directly to the entrances indicated below:

  • Entrances to the parterre are via entrance 33;
  • Entrances to level 1 are via entrances 5, 34 and 60;
  • Entrances to level 4 are via entrances 8 and 56;
  • VIP entrances are via entrances 39 and 55;
  • Access for people with disabilities and reduced mobility will be via entrances 38 and 56.


The venue also advises the public to arrive around 5:30pm. "For reasons of ease and fluidity of access, access to security checks is not organized solely by order of arrival of spectators in the queue, but also takes into account the category of ticket and the fluidity of passage at the various points" Paris La Défense Arena would like to point out.

On its website, Paris La Défense Arena also provides a list of prohibited items at concerts, "in accordance with legislation governing establishments open to the public ". Forbidden are " all dangerous and illicit objects that are bulky, that could be used as projectiles and that could be a danger to spectators, visitors or artists, or that could be diverted from their intended use for malicious purposes", such as bottles and flasks, helmets, alcoholic beverages, any object on wheels (skateboards, rollerblades, etc.), unauthorized cameras or rigid umbrellas.

The venue also states: "In view of current events, we are tightening up access to bags on the site. Authorized bags or panniers must be less than 10L ". Lightsticks are also permitted at this event.

Once the concert is over, it's best to head for La Défense station (Line 1 / RER A) if you wish to return to Paris.

For all other directions, go to La Défense station for Transilien lines L and T2. " If you are taking public transport to Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Cergy and Poissy, you can go to Nanterre Préfecture station and take the RER A," adds Paris La Défense Arena.
