10 years after lighting up the Philharmonie de Paris stage, Marion Cotillard reprises her role as Jeanne in "Joan of Arc at the stake" in a unique, not-to-be-missed performance on Friday, December 13, 2024 in the Grande salle Pierre Boulez.

The Philharmonie de Paris has unveiled its program for the 2024/2025 season. On the menu? Exhibitions dedicated to Ravel and disco, weekends devoted to Armenia, Ireland and minimalist artists, not to mention a host of concerts once again showcasing eclecticism.

Among the highlights not to be missed over the coming months is the musical " Joan of Arc at the stake " . Already presented at the Philharmonie de Paris in 2015, this vocal concert returns to the Grande salle Pierre Boulez with a unique performance announced for Friday, December 13, 2024.

In the role of Jeanne? The talented Marion Cotillard, who already played the " Pucelle " 10 years ago. For the revival of this dramatic oratorio in 11 scenes by Paul Claudel, set to music byArthur Honegger, Marion Cotillard will be joined by theFrankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Wiener Singverein and the Orchestre de Paris Children's Choir, all under the direction ofAlain Altinoglu.

Marion Cotillard will also be joined on stage byÉric Génovèse (Sociétaire de la Comédie-Française) as Frère Dominique, Belgian-born soprano Ilse Eerens as La Vierge, mezzo-soprano Isabelle Druet as Marguerite and mezzo-soprano Svetlana Lifar as Catherine.

A famous musical fresco, " Joan of Arc at the stake " brings to life the last moments of the Pucelle d'Orléans, thanks in particular to compositions by Honegger. The score expresses the anguish felt by Joan at the moment of her execution.
