Fans have been eagerly awaiting this announcement! Five years after the release of"Always Ascending", Franz Ferdinand announces the release of a new, 6th studio album (out January 10, 2025). To mark the occasion, the famous Scottish rock band is hitting the road again. What's on the agenda? A 15-date European tour, with concerts in Lisbon, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Berlin, Warsaw, Cologne, Antwerp, Amsterdam, London and Glasgow. In France, fans can look forward to a concert at La Cigale in Paris on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

Franz Ferdinand 's last Paris concert was on April 20, 2022. Following the release of their first best-of album,"Hits To The Head", Alex Kapranos and his band took over the Zénith de la Villette to play their many hits, released since the start of their career in 2001. In the space of two decades, Franz Ferdinand have unquestionably become one of the biggest British bands in the world, selling over 10 million albums, with 1.2 billion streams to date, 14 platinum albums, winning Brit and Mercury Prize Awards, and selling 6 million tickets for their assured concerts in the four corners of the globe!
On February 27, 2025, Franz Ferdinand will be lighting up La Cigale with a one-off concert featuring their new songs. Hopefully, the Scottish band won't forget to perform some of their older hits either, such as " Take Me Out ", " Do You Want To ", " No You Girls ", " The Fallen " and " Walk Away ".
