The cult show Chicago - Le Musical returns to the capital! In November 2025, the Casino de Paris welcomes back the show that has been filling New York halls for over 20 years.

After drawing over 300,000 spectators to the Théâtre Mogador in 2018-2019, the French adaptation of the cult show will return to Paris in November 2025 at the Casino de Paris. Stage Entertainment, also producer of the musical The Lion King, has chosen to produce Chicago - The Musical again , among its fourteen productions.

Chicago - The Musical is set in the 1920s and tells the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife with dreams of stardom. After killing her lover, she finds herself in prison, where she meets Velma Kelly, a cabaret singer accused of murder. Both women, with the help of wily lawyer Billy Flynn, seek to manipulate the press and public opinion to escape their fate and achieve fame.

The musical explores themes of corruption, media manipulation and the lust for fame, all with a jazzy style and energetic musical numbers. Chicago - The Musical is the longest-running show on Broadway, having been on the New York stage for over 20 years. In addition to Paris, it was also revived in London in 2018, and now returns to Paris in 2025.

With music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb, and libretto by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, the latter's show is renowned for both its technical demands and its finesse. Humor plays a central role, underscoring themes that resonate with today's world, where manipulation and cynicism are at the heart of the plot. In Chicago - The Musical, the choreography should fit in perfectly with the minimalist staging, giving pride of place to the orchestra. Casting for the 2025 version at the Casino de Paris will begin shortly.
