Dance fans, mark your calendars! On the occasion of Australia Now 2021, an event celebrating Australian culture and innovation in Paris, the Théâtre national de la Danse - Chaillot invites you to discover a show imagined by the troupe of Australian choreographer Stephanie Lake, entitled Colossus, for three performances on June 3, 4 and 5, 2021. A one-of-a-kind dance extravaganza, to be held if sanitary conditions permit.
Alongside fifty dancers, Stephanie Lake explores"the joy and tension of collective experience", as well as"the beauty and ugliness of the collective". A truly extraordinary show, involving some fifty students from the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris to bring the choreographer's work to life. "Impeccable unison, magnified individuality", the choreographies presented also celebrate"numbers as well as intimacy"... A curious blend of genres, even opposites, for a moment out of time.
A true contemporary dancing choir, interpreting our modern societies, and deploying an unsuspected charm, always in a perpetual search for movement.
