Pépito petit bateau tells the story of a small cargo ship: the story is written by Simon Bensa and directed by Pauline Paris and Thierry Jahn of the Polycompagnie. The show is a cross between theater, storytelling and puppet show: a winning combo to captivate children from 3 years old during 45 minutes.
Pépito is a little boat who lives with my mom, Gilberta, a container ship. Gilberta asks Pépito to make a container delivery to Ghana for her, so he sets sail, accompanied by his friend Piotr the dolphin. Once there, a lady welcomes him, but refuses the containers: she tells him that they are full of polluting waste and that it is not respectful of the environment. So he returns to Le Havre (the port where he comes from) without having delivered the goods and then decides with his friend Sangaré, the mechanic of the port, to recycle the broken objects contained in the delivery.
The show allows young people to become aware of ecology, of our over-consumption and of the finality of all our waste. The three protagonists propose an interactive show where the audience can participate and help Pépito to find solutions. The performances are given exclusively at the Théâtre de l'EssaÏon, in the 4th arrondissement, from March 15 to May 29, 2023. During school time, you can attend on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 4pm and during the vacations, the performances take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 4pm. A nice tale to see with the family, to gently educate the youngest to the environmental issue.
