L'Écume des jours is a landmark novel in 20th-century French literature. Adapted several times for film and stage, Boris Vian 'swork is unveiled this year in a version directed by Claudie Russo-Pelosi. Until August 27, visit Théâtre Le Lucernaire to discover this new interpretation of Boris Vian's text.
L'Écume des joursis best known for filmmaker Michel Gondry's 2013 adaptation, starring Romain Duris and Audrey Tautou. This singular fiction immerses the viewer - or reader - in a poetic, surreal universe, where love, music and illness are unexpectedly intertwined.
The story takes place in a fanciful Paris, where Colin, a dreamy young man, falls in love with Chloé, a delicate, luminous young woman. Their love is intense, but their happiness is soon threatened by Chloé's illness. Love is the central theme here, plunging us into a world as enchanting as it is tragic.
This adaptation at Théâtre Le Lucernaire also promises to be a true musical spectacle, set to Boris Vian's writing.
Please note that on Friday, July 7, 2023, a meeting with the artistic team will take place after the performance. See you at the theater.
