Vienna, its waltzes and its exceptionally talented artists are the stuff of dreams. It's not always possible to travel to discover this beautiful country... So theAtelier des Lumières brings it to us! This very special museum invites us to discover the work of painter Gustav Klimt, in an immersive, musical journey that takes us through the Viennese master's paintings. A unique and magical experience that's a must!
Were you unable to enjoy the very first Atelier des Lumières exhibition, or did you love it so much you were waiting for it to return? Good news! This summer 2023, the Atelier des Lumières is offering retrospectives, from 3 p.m. until the museum closes. From July 6 to 30, 2023, come and (re)discover the Klimt exhibition , with the Hundertwasser exhibition in the second part.
Gustav Klimt was an Austrian painter of great renown, particularly known for his Art Nouveau and symbolic style. He is best remembered for his landscapes, which reflect his many travels, his portraits of women... And above all, his gilded paintings.
The exhibition takes us on a journey through more than 100 years of Viennese painting, to the rhythm of the most famous Viennese waltzes. This retrospective allows us to discover the many artists who influenced Klimt, and who contributed to the renown of Austrian painting. The Kunsthistoriches Museum and the Vienna National Theater are also among the highlights of the exhibition.
Neoclassical, Viennese Secession, nature, gold, urban landscapes, women... The exhibition is divided into six paintings, which tell us about the painter's art and the evolution of his work.
The second part of the exhibition features Friedensreich Hundertwasser, an Austrian architect and painter, heir to the Viennese Secession. Inspired by the revolutionary art of Klimt, this young artist drew on the original links between man and nature to create large, colorful frescoes and utopian worlds.
Two exhibitions to see again and again, for a wonderful journey to the heart of art!
Note that this summer 2023, the Chagall, Paris - New York and Paul Klee exhibitions are still scheduled to run in the mornings until 3pm.
