Both a painter and a musician, Paul Klee is a renowned artist of the first half of the 20th century. If you don't know this artist yet, come and meet him from February 17, 2023, and until January 7, 2024, at theAtelier des Lumières. The Parisian museum offers us an unusual dive into the colorful and playful universe of this artist with multiple passions.
Indeed, Paul Klee is best known for his abstract paintings. However, the man was born into a family of musicians, and this love of music has accompanied him all his life. He received a high level of musical training, and taught the art.
Music greatly influenced his graphic style, and this passion can be found in Klee's paintings, in the compositions of the images, in the subjects, in the rhythm of his works. This mixture of genres results in fascinating, almost hypnotic paintings , very different from one another: a diversity that can also be found... In music!
The Atelier des Lumières pays tribute to this little-known painter in France, through an exhibition that links painting and music. And what better museum than the Atelier to realize this marriage? Indeed, the immersive museum stands out, at each exhibition, by its choice of songs that give rhythm and life to the projected works.
In 2023, we go to discover this new unusual program of the Atelier des Lumières. In the first part of this exhibition, we find Marc Chagall and his surrealist paintings.
