The Grand Palais transformed into an Extraordinary Factory

Published by My de Sortiraparis · Published on November 22, 2018 at 04:26 p.m.
The Grand Palais, opened for the 1900 Universal Exhibition, has been hosting all kinds of events ever since, most of them artistic. But this year, a revolution has been announced: the Grand Palais is hosting... a life-size factory! Discover it for free from November 22 to 25, 2018!

Two jobs out of ten: that's how many blue-collar workers make up the French workforce today. Fewer in number than in the past but, unfortunately, still just as precarious, blue-collar workers remain absolutely essential to our daily lives. A visit to a replica of their workplace is therefore a much-needed experience.

Who'd have thought it? This year, visitors to the Grand Palais will be able to tour a life-size factory. The idea? To take a behind-the-scenes look at"today's factories", in other words, production sites that are, perhaps more than you might think, modern and connected. Children are obviously the privileged audience for this free event organized by the Fondation Usine Extraordinaire under the aegis of the FACE foundation.
