That’s an event taking place in Paris this summer. An exclusive exhibition of works by world-famous and renown street artist Banksy. The installation is not something you want to miss at the Musée du Graffiti, starting this Saturday June 1, 2019, from 2 p.m.

It’s with the creation of a Facebook event that the announce has been made. The Musée du Graffiti set in Paris 2nd arrondissement is housing, starting this June 1, 2019, an exhibition devoted to British artist Banksy.

Come and (re)discover his works, priceless works and works rather unknown by the public” the Facebook event says.

To be discovered from 2 p.m., the event is said to take place outside the passage where the musuem lays and on the surroundings streets.

And good news if you miss it, the entire event will be broadcasted live on the Museum's Facebook wall.

Banksy is now a world-famous artist. After several publicity stunts, including the self-destruction of his work “Girl with Balloon” during an auction sale, Banksy managed to show the world his ability to break the rules and offering a complex, deep and thought-up vision of the society.

Coming from Bristol, his identity is still unknown, and rumors go strong to know who hides behind this artist name.

In Paris, several works by Banksy are visible in the streets of the French capital. “Incognito, the trails of his visit we thought were gone have been kindly kept. Pieces of walls extracted from the past and the city are displayed in exclusivity during this retrospective about the artist. The “monopolizing” of pieces of walls orchestrated by the Musée du Graffiti aims at preserving pieces of history of art in order to place an artist in his time and ideas in our context” the Facebook event adds.

For the record, the Musée du Graffiti open in Spring 2018 and welcomes the largest collection of street art in the world. Featuring 25 years of archives, its 1700 “artist”, its hundred works coming from the street, it’s a unique place covering on 3 floors the story of such a controversial movement. After almost closing on July 16, the museum finally managed to remain open. It will get itself talked about a lot this summer with this installation devoted to Banksy works.
