Nestled in a private mansion, it's an annex of the Musée Guimet, accessible free of charge, but by reservation only. A one-hour guided tour of the museum takes place every Saturday at 10 and 11:30 am. Here, you can admire a collection of over 7,000 works, mainly from Japan and China. Lacquered boxes, porcelain, objets d'art, sculptures, paintings... Exceptional pieces are hidden in these well-stocked rooms.

The originator of this fantastic collection was Clémence d'Ennery, actress and wife of playwright Adolphe Philippe d'Ennery. This collector was fascinated by Asian art. Listed as a historical monument, this secret museum fascinates us with the fantastic world of Asian folklore depicted in its works.

These thousands of pieces are brought together in a showcase which, in turn, plunges us into the heart of the 19th century. Wooden showcases protect porcelain, lacquer boxes and other treasures from the Far East. Surrounded by marble columns, splendid moldings, a carved wooden lining and other timeless elements, we are under the spell of this astonishing art cabinet.

Visiting the Musée d'Ennery also means stepping back in time: according to the will left by the d'Ennery couple, everything in the museum must remain identical to the layout designed by Clémence. Nothing goes out, nothing comes in, nothing moves around: this is how the museum was laid out by the collector in the 19th century!

Room after room, we're as charmed and impressed by the richness of the collections as we are by the mansion's magnificent moldings and woodwork.

Join us on this unusual journey and let yourself be seduced by this unique museum in Paris.

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
