Meet the people of New Guinea, South Sudan, Peru, Mongolia, Tanzania and many other extraordinary places, thanks to the work of Jimmy Nelson. The photographer presents his work around the world at theAtelier des Lumières, from June 9 to July 10, 2021. Exceptional evenings to experience immersed in The Last Sentinels exhibition.

Over a hundred photos come to life on the walls of the Atelier des Lumières. This forty-minute journey introduces us to many indigenous peoples, living in harmony with nature. The diversity of the people presented, the colors, the music, the incredible environments highlighted in these photos give us endless energy and positivity.

Jimmy Nelson has totally immersed himself in these communities to bring us their beauty and richness. From these peoples living on five different continents, we retain a rich, complex and striking culture, which the photographer is determined to preserve at all costs. In turn, he transmits the rites, songs and cultural traditions of these peoples, to the rhythm of a soundtrack inspired by musical compositions fromAfrica, Siberia,India,South America andAboriginal Australia.

The Last Sentinels exhibition is divided into six acts, each offering breathtaking portraits and landscapes. The journey, the link with nature, the animals, the connections between people, their wisdom, their energy... Each chapter is an invitation to introspection, an invitation to embark on a magnificent journey in search of the world's riches.

Jimmy Nelson, the photographer of indigenous peoples, takes over the evenings of the Atelier des lumières to present his exhibition from 6.30pm to 11pm. This original production is screened as part of the"Save the planet" program, which gives a voice to artists committed to the environment and the preservation of the planet and humanity. This exhibition enables Culturespaces to financially support the Jimmy Nelson Foundation, which works to bring the peoples of the world together to preserve humanity's natural and cultural heritage.
