If you love beautiful shoes, you know that a well-chosen pair of sneakers is the centerpiece of any outfit. Whether you're spending a fortune on the latest pairs or just admiring them from afar, this exhibition is sure to please. From September 8 to November 14, 2021, head to Galerie Sakura to admire Sneakers generation, the biggest custom sneaker exhibition ever seen in Paris.
Get ready to enter the world of your dreams: hundreds of unique sneakers, decorated by over 400 artists from 40 different countries. They are graffiti artists, tattoo artists, cartoonists, street artists, illustrators, painters... They turned their attention to a mythical sneaker model: the Air Jordan 1 Mid Triple White, and freely redecorated it, creating unique pieces.
Each artist was given carte blanche (no pun intended) to appropriate this legendary sneaker and turn it into an incredible, one-of-a-kind, personal work of art. The Air Jordan 1 Mid Triple White becomes a work of pop art. These shoes feature Luffy, the Joker, Totoro and Bart Simpson.
We travel to the depths of Hokusai's wave in the company of Pokémons, admiring drawings with Japanese, American and French influences... Naturalist drawings, abstracts, Japanese animation, impressionist paintings, graffiti, video games... The themes and styles are as varied as visitors' tastes. It's impossible to leave without falling in love with one of the models on display.
The good news is that if you really fancy one of these pairs, you can walk away with it! Each model is for sale, at the unique price of 450 euros. The question is: will you take the risk of wearing them and soiling these works of art that adorn your feet, or would you prefer to display them safely on a shelf at home?
Don't wait any longer: come and discover this unique exhibition! But before you do, you need to make a choice: which sneakers are you going to wear?
